Arundel Brewery presents the inaugural Brewfest; a festival celebrating the best in craft beer, coffee, live music and promising much vibes.
Popular brewery Arundel Brewery launched its Arundel venue, The Brewhouse Project, this year – and quickly propped up the area’s craft beer and freshly-roasted coffee scene, in collaboration with Edgcumbes Coffee.
After a successful launch period, it’s now decided to host a weekend-long festival that for the first-time, utilises the expertise and opinion of some of social media’s best-loved UK beer bloggers to curate 38 beers for guests to try – along with a headline musical set from James Walsh – of chart-topping band, Starsailor – and many other popular local acts.
These 38 beers have been hand-picked by beer bloggers from around the UK, who have chosen limited editions, must-tries and must-haves from breweries.
Our first round of announcements include North Brewing Co, Burnt Mill, Pressure Drop, Burning Sky, Vault City, Turning Point, Pastore, Glasshouse, Little Monster, Pipeline Brewing Co, Padstow Brewing Co, Atom, Staggeringly Good and Lost Pier x Vibrant Forest (exclusive collab for Brewfest) all confirmed.
A huge thanks to our beer curators; Ginger_And_Beer, Grizzly Beers, The British Beerd, Brett and Beer, The Bearded Beer Bloke, Beerd af, Hoppy Raptor, Triple Hopped Podcast, Dave BV, Matt Drinks Beers, and Mary Hoppins for selecting the beers and the aforementioned breweries
There is also traditional ale available chosen by the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA).
A unique, exciting atmosphere is promised; The Brewhouse Project will be split into four rooms – including a fully-heated outdoor marquee and a live room, where guests can enjoy music from James Walsh of Starsailor (three million records sold worldwide) on Saturday afternoon, a Friday night party with Portsmouth’s Colour of the Jungle and a special secret guest act headlining on Saturday night. The mezzanine will host the guest beer-bloggers’ picks, who will be on hand to discuss why they’ve chosen these pours, alongside representatives from each brewery. The main bar will also host coffee masterclasses and roasting sessions from Edgcumbes Coffee plus serve soft drinks.
Local street food favourites, Mann & Moore – Michelin-trained chefs cooking American BBQ – and vegetarian favourites, Halloumilicious will provide food along with The Brewhouse Project’s very-own pizza and cafe offering.
The festival will be split into four sessions –
Friday night (6pm til 10pm)
Saturday afternoon (12pm til 4pm)
Saturday evening (6pm til 10pm)
And a free ‘first come first serve’ session on Sunday (12pm til 4pm).
Each musical line-up will vary per session – hosted by DaveBV:
Friday 24th January; Colour of the Jungle + Emily Barden & Chris Eaton + James Harris
Saturday 25th January- afternoon; James Walsh (Starsailor) + Lisa Lo with Tom Bruce + Paddy Taylor
Saturday 25th January- evening; Secret Special Guests + Tom Bright + Piers Ellison
Sunday 26th January; Open Mic (first come first serve)
Guests will receive a commemorative glass plus a complimentary first beer pour for the price of their £12 ticket.
Beers will be sold on the day via a token system; 10 for £20. Each token can then be redeemed for either a third or half measure depending on the beer!
A drivers ticket will also be available, offering a complimentary soft drink for £5.
There is also a limited-edition run of tickets for those wishing to buy ‘All You Can Drink’ wristbands, for £50.
Although The Brewhouse Project is accessible by foot from Arundel train station, there will be a special coach service put on for each session (departing shortly before they start) to save you the journey, with tickets costing £5 extra.
The coach will leave five minutes before each session is due to begin – but don’t worry, we’ll do another round trip once we’ve kicked off for anybody running late.
