Carnival of Lights in Chichester

Carnival of Lights will see a grand parade of lanterns created by local schools, groups and artists dancing through the streets of Chichester to the Canal Basin, culminating in a waterside extravaganza.

Organised by the Chichester Festival Theatre, you are invited to gather at Priory Park from 5 pm to enjoy fun crafts and activities before the parade departs at 6 pm.

Led by a samba band, Bateria Brasoc, we will parade with our sea of lanterns through the streets of Chichester to the Canal Basin where we will celebrate with performances, activities, food and more. Celebrate with us and join the party as you parade with your friends!

The walk is expected to take 30-40 minutes and is wheelchair accessible.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Date: Friday 10 June

• Time: Meet at Priory Park from 5 pm; Carnival will leave at 6 pm and you can join the party at any point along the route.

• Finish: Canal Basin; Celebration ends at 8.30 pm

• What to bring: Just yourself, your friends and family

• What to wear: Bright colours, comfy shoes and dress for the weather!

• Food & Drink: Street food will be available at the Canal
