May Half Term Activities in Amberley

For an enjoyable and captivating day in the great outdoors this half term, head to the Weald & Downland Living Museum in West Sussex. From Saturday 28 May to Sunday 5 June, the Museum will be offering a wonderful array of family fun and activities with a celebratory theme to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

From helping to decorate the Museum’s bunting to creating a badge to celebrate someone or something special to you, there will be plenty of hands-on crafting to enjoy as well as opportunities to learn new skills such as making your own lavender bag or a clay medal to mark the Jubilee. You can also deepen your knowledge of the monarchy with a fascinating trail, where you can fill in a personal fact file for each monarch along the way! Or why not make a peg-doll Queen and decorate it to depict the fashion from any era of her 70-year reign?

Activities run from 11 am-4 pm and will vary daily.

Adventure, exploration and learning awaits children of all ages at this wonderful open-air museum. With over 50 historic buildings, stunning woodland and plenty of opportunities to discover live demonstrations and displays that teach us about our past, it is the ideal day out for all the family.
