We are a unique duo who give pictorial talks, that are based on history and personal experience. We are based in Littlehampton and have a range of talks available, which we can tailor to suit a variety of audiences.
Our first talk ‘The life of a Bargee’, is about an hour long ( please see below for more details) but can be shortened if needed.
Our most popular talk is ‘The Not so Idle Women of the Canals’, which tells you about the canal version of the Land Girls, with all their struggles to learn a new job in WWII.
Other talks are An Idle around Ironbridge, Beautiful Bristol and beyond, Our A to Z of Sussex, A 21st century Christmas plus others.
Our rates are reasonable and negotiable, depending on distance, time and amenities. Available for day or evening talks or can at present fill in for cancellations. We are happy to attend: Community Groups, Historical Societies, Convalescent Homes, Day Care Centres and Schools, to name but a few.
If you love listening to lively speakers, with real-life scenarios, then we are the right people for you. .Although our primary business is talks, we like to also promote places we visit on our travels through Clive’s photos. We do this as a way of encouraging others to visit new places, but also for those who cannot get out and about anymore. We like to think we are evoking fond memories for those who cannot visit attractions but like to remember when they could.
If you wish to make a booking, please call us, Facebook message or email us with details of your requirements and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We both have DBS clearance.
